UncertWeb logo: uncertainty enabled model web

Wageningen University

The Wageningen University team of UncertWeb is part of the Land Dynamics chairgroup and specialized in geostatistics and spatial uncertainty propagation analysis. The team has a leading role in WP3. It will develop and extend methods for handling uncertainty in service chaining and assist in applying these methods to the use cases.

Gerard Heuvelink

Dr Gerard Heuvelink is associate professor in geostatistics with Wageningen University and senior researcher in pedometrics with Alterra. He has more than 20 years of experience with uncertainty propagation analysis in spatial modelling and is still motivated to advance the subject and increase awareness among a wider audience. Other research interests are space-time geostatistics, digital soil mapping, statistical calibration and validation of environmental process models and sampling design optimisation.

Phuong Truong

Phuong N. Truong (MSc) is a PhD student in UncertWeb at Wageningen University. She has just completed her Master of GeoInformation Science in 2009 at Wageningen University. She has background in environmental science and GIS. She has experience in uncertainty analysis, spatial statistics and programming with R. She is interested in space-time modelling, spatial statistics and uncertainty analysis. She is working full time in WP3 of UncertWeb which aims to define and implement the tools for uncertainty quantification of inputs and models within service chains and address the communication of uncertainty.
